FTSE Opens Higher After Gains in Asia and US: Spread Betting Update

The FTSE is marked to open around 20 points higher this morning at 5637 following the gains on Wall Street and Asia overnight.

With no economic news out this morning we may struggle for direction and could see the market trade sideways until the afternoon.

Then we shall see US Retail Sales at 13.30, followed by Business Inventories and Sentiment readings at 15.00.
