1. How to Spread Bet on Allianz shares?
Allianz Rolling Daily Spread Betting Example
Like most large cap shares listed on the European exchanges, investors can bet on the Allianz shares either increasing or decreasing. With this Allianz Rolling Daily market, you can spread bet on:
a) Allianz shares to increase higher than €84.68, or
b) Allianz shares to decrease lower than €84.49.
Note that with the Allianz market you trade in £X per cent, where a cent is 1c of Allianz share price movement. As an example, if you invested £2 per cent and the Allianz stock moved 5c then that would be a difference to your bottom line of £10.
Allianz Shares Spread Trading Example
For example, let’s assume you see the live price on a spread trading website and it shows the current spread of €84.49 - €84.68. So, after suitable analysis of the markets, you could come to feel that the Allianz share price will increase and move above €84.68. This means:
- You believe that the Allianz shares will rise
- As a result, you decide you are going to go long of the market at €84.68 and you risk £1 per cent
- The market rises and the spread changes to €85.95 - €86.14
- With this new price you can decide to guarantee a profit and settle your position. In order to do this you would sell at €85.95
- Buy price: €84.68
- Profits (or losses) = (Final Price - Initial Price) x stake
- Profits (or losses) = (€85.95 - €84.68) x £1 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = €1.27 x £1 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = 127c x £1 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = £127 profit
However, had the market failed to move as forecasted, and had the Allianz shares decreased in price, with the market dropping to €83.49 - €83.68, then you could choose to close your position and restrict your losses. You would do this by selling at €83.49.
- You initially bought the spread bet at €84.68
- Profits (or losses) = (Final Price - Initial Price) x stake
- Profits (or losses) = (€83.49 - €84.68) x £1 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -€1.19 x £1 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -119c x £1 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -£119 loss
