1. How to Spread Bet on Deutsche Post shares?

As with most large cap shares listed on the European exchanges, an investor can spread bet on the Deutsche Post shares to go up or go down. With the Deutsche Post Rolling Daily market, investors can place a spread bet on:

- P&L = (Closing Price - Opening Price) x stake
- P&L = (€14.19 - €13.93) x £5 per cent
- P&L = €0.26 x £5 per cent
- P&L = 26c x £5 per cent
- P&L = £130 profit
However, if the trade did not work as planned, and had the Deutsche Post stock decreased in price, with the spread going down to €13.65 - €13.70, then you might choose to close your position and cut your losses by selling at €13.65.
- Your initial buy price: €13.93
- P&L = (Closing Price - Opening Price) x stake
- P&L = (€13.65 - €13.93) x £5 per cent
- P&L = -€0.28 x £5 per cent
- P&L = -28c x £5 per cent
- P&L = -£140 loss
