1. How to Spread Bet on Home Depot shares?

- You initially bought the market at $29.05
- Profit / Loss = (Final Price - Initial Price) x stake
- Profit / Loss = ($29.62 - $29.05) x £2 per cent stake
- Profit / Loss = $0.57 x £2 per cent stake
- Profit / Loss = 57¢ x £2 per cent stake
- Profit / Loss = £114 profit
Spread bets don’t always go to plan. If the trade didn’t work as forecast, and had the Home Depot stock decreased in value, with the market moving down to $28.54 - $28.59, then you could decide to settle your position and cut your losses. In order to do this you would sell at $28.54.
- You bought the spread at $29.05
- Profit / Loss = (Final Price - Initial Price) x stake
- Profit / Loss = ($28.54 - $29.05) x £2 per cent stake
- Profit / Loss = -$0.51 x £2 per cent stake
- Profit / Loss = -51¢ x £2 per cent stake
- Profit / Loss = -£102 loss
