1. How to Spread Bet on Lufthansa shares?

- The price of the shares rises and the spread changes to €12.78 - €12.82
- Therefore, you might choose to take your profit and close your bet. In order to do this you would sell at €12.78
- Buy price: €12.13
- Profit/Loss = (Final Level - Initial Level) x stake
- Profit/Loss = (€12.78 - €12.13) x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = €0.65 x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = 65c x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = £130 profit
Nevertheless, if the trade did not move as forecast, and had the Lufthansa stock decreased in price, with the market dropping to €11.52 - €11.56, then you could choose to settle your position and prevent any more losses by selling at €11.52.
- Initial buy price: €12.13
- Profit/Loss = (Final Level - Initial Level) x stake
- Profit/Loss = (€11.52 - €12.13) x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -€0.61 x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -61c x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -£122 loss
