1. How to Spread Bet on Oracle shares?

- Profits (or losses) = (Final Price - Initial Price) x stake
- Profits (or losses) = ($23.41 - $23.02) x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = $0.39 x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = 39¢ x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = £78 profit
Spread bets don’t always go to plan. If the market failed to move as predicted, and had the Oracle stock decreased in price, with the spread moving down to $22.65 - $22.70, then you might decide to settle your position and prevent any further losses. You would do this by selling at $22.65.
- You bought the market at $23.02
- Profits (or losses) = (Final Price - Initial Price) x stake
- Profits (or losses) = ($22.65 - $23.02) x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -$0.37 x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -37¢ x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -£74 loss
