1. How to Spread Bet on Randstad shares?
Currently, the price of the Randstad Rolling Daily market is €36.67 - €36.76 with companies such as Capitalspreads.
Like the majority of European shares listed on the exchanges, investors can spread bet on the Randstad shares either increasing or decreasing. With the Randstad Rolling Daily market, an investor can place a spread bet on:
a) Randstad shares to move higher than €36.76, or
b) Randstad shares to move lower than €36.67.
Note that with the Randstad market you trade in £X per cent, where a cent is 1c of Randstad share movement. As an example, if you invested £4 per cent and the Randstad stock moved 5c then that would make a difference to your profits (or losses) of £20.
Randstad Equities Trading Example
For example, let’s say you see the real time price on a spread trading website that gives the spread of €36.67 - €36.76. So, after your research, you might feel that the Randstad shares will increase and move higher than €36.76. As a result:
- You believe the Randstad share price will rise
- As a result, you choose to go long of the market at €36.76 and you bet £2 per cent
- The price of the shares increases and so the spread becomes €37.46 - €37.55
- With the new spread you could decide to take a profit and close your position. To do this you would sell at €37.46
- You initially bought the spread bet at €36.76
- Profit/Loss = (Closing Price - Opening Price) x stake
- Profit/Loss = (€37.46 - €36.76) x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = €0.70 x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = 70c x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = £140 profit
Investing does not always go to plan. If the market failed to move as forecasted, and had the Randstad stock decreased in value, with the spread decreasing to €36.10 - €36.19, then you could choose to settle your bet and cut your losses. You would do this by selling at €36.10.
- Your initial buy price: €36.76
- Profit/Loss = (Closing Price - Opening Price) x stake
- Profit/Loss = (€36.10 - €36.76) x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -€0.66 x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -66c x £2 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -£132 loss
