1. How to Spread Bet on RWE shares?
Currently, the price of the RWE Rolling Daily market is €68.34 - €68.52 with Capitalspreads.
Like the majority of European shares listed on the stock exchanges, you can bet on the RWE shares to go up or go down. With this RWE Rolling Daily market, an investor can place a spread bet on:
a) RWE shares to move higher than €68.52, or
b) RWE shares to move lower than €68.34.
It should be noted that with the RWE market you trade in £X per cent, where a cent is 1c of RWE share price movement. As a brief example, if you invested £2 per cent and the RWE share price moved 5c then your bottom line would change by £10.

As a quick example, let’s say you see the live price on a spread betting website and it gives a spread of €68.34 - €68.52. Following suitable analysis of the markets, you could come to feel that the RWE shares could go higher than €68.52. This implies:
- You believe that the RWE share price should rise
- You decide you want to go long of, or buy, the market at €68.52 and invest £1 per cent
- The share price increases and the spread changes to €69.55 - €69.73
- With the new price you may choose to take your profit and close your position. You would do this by selling at €69.55
- Initial buy price: €68.52
- Profit/Loss = (Final Level - Initial Level) x stake
- Profit/Loss = (€69.55 - €68.52) x £1 per cent
- Profit/Loss = €1.03 x £1 per cent
- Profit/Loss = 103c x £1 per cent
- Profit/Loss = £103 profit
However, if the trade didn’t work as forecast, and had the RWE stock decreased in price, with the spread moving down to €67.39 - €67.57, then you might choose to settle your position and restrict your losses. To do this you would sell at €67.39.
- Initial buy price = €68.52
- Profit/Loss = (Final Level - Initial Level) x stake
- Profit/Loss = (€67.39 - €68.52) x £1 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -€1.13 x £1 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -113c x £1 per cent
- Profit/Loss = -£113 loss
