1. How to Spread Bet on TOMTOM shares?
The current price of the TOMTOM Rolling Daily market is €7.32 - €7.35 with Capital Spreads.
As with many shares listed on the European exchanges, an investor can spread bet on the TOMTOM shares to go up or down. With this TOMTOM Rolling Daily market, you can speculate on:
a) TOMTOM shares to go above €7.35, or
b) TOMTOM shares to go below €7.32.

- Therefore, you choose to go long of the market at €7.35 and invest £5 per cent
- The market increases with the spread moving to €7.52 - €7.55
- With the new price you might choose to guarantee a profit and settle your position. In order to do this you would sell at €7.52
- Buy price = €7.35
- Profits (or losses) = (Settlement Value - Opening Value) x stake
- Profits (or losses) = (€7.52 - €7.35) x £5 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = €0.17 x £5 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = 17c x £5 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = £85 profit
Spread bets don’t always go to plan. If the market failed to move as predicted, and had the TOMTOM shares decreased in price, with the spread going down to €7.20 - €7.23, then you might decide to close your bet and prevent any further losses. You would do this by selling at €7.20.
- Buy price: €7.35
- Profits (or losses) = (Settlement Value - Opening Value) x stake
- Profits (or losses) = (€7.20 - €7.35) x £5 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -€0.15 x £5 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -15c x £5 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -£75 loss
