1. How to Spread Bet on Verizon shares?

- Profits (or losses) = ($33.68 - $33.04) x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = $0.64 x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = 64¢ x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = £128 profit
However, if the market failed to move as forecasted, and had the Verizon shares decreased in price, with the spread going down to $32.46 - $32.51, then you can choose to close your position and prevent any more losses. To do this you would sell at $32.46.
- Price you bought the spread bet at: $33.04
- Profits (or losses) = (Final Level - Initial Level) x stake
- Profits (or losses) = ($32.46 - $33.04) x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -$0.58 x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -58¢ x £2 per cent
- Profits (or losses) = -£116 loss
